🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. A heads up for people who don't know the reason they take all your equipment is because you didn't pay them. Its 500$ for you to keep your recording equipment. NO ONE will tell you that excpet friends who are local. I have a few friends local there and you need to always bring cash and bribe your way through the trip. I would not recommend you go if you cant afford to spend a few grand bribing for your safety, gear, prices. You need to hire a local too for local pricing. Its just people don't know these things so when they arrive its a shock. The government there only wants pristine beautiful media. So you need to have two sets of identical memory cards, one to delete in front of the cops and one to hide. Also, you can just ignore the bazaar vendors, they WILL harass you, they will follow you, they will do EVERYTHING to get you to pay unless you hire a local to yell them off, get a good local guide who is a male and tip them every time they help you out of a situation. They will make it pleasant for you. If a mob does form for whatever reason, you will need to run to a safe place, the local will know of safe places for you to go. Also, if you get robbed give them whatever you have IN SIGHT, you hide everything important or else it will be taken, don't fight they will kill you and the authorities will not care. that's all the advice I have. be safe!

  2. Sonny you guys gotta dub your videos in different languages it will blow up like crazy. Your problem with the authorities would’ve been eased if your videos weren’t only in English. Mr beast has a dubbing production company so all his videos reach the entire world and si he can help other creators reach the world

  3. Because in 2013, an Israeli and US-backed military coup took place in Egypt. And yet the country is under extraordinary pressures, with hundreds of thousands of political prisoners persecuted in inhumane conditions in windowless prison cells. Unfortunately, it reveals once again the oppression and isolation environment in the country together with what you have experienced.

But I believe that these periods will pass and Egypt will have the proper government it deserves.

  4. How come people still go to Egypt ??!!Egypt is under a Military Coup.
The elected president was killed in prison and his youngest son was assassinated in the streets of Egypt. Ten thousands of inocent people are in jail for their political opinions. Thousands were assassinated during the last ten years in the streets by the police and the army.
Egypt is not safe for Egyptians or tourists untill the end of the dectatorship of the military coup.
Don't pay your money to a government that steal it and buy weapons to kill its people. We hope as you hope that Egypt will be free from injustice and toture soon.

  5. I used to live in Egypt during president Mubarak time and it wasn't this bad ! Thank God I left before the 2010 revolution and I am definitely not going back after this!

  6. Egyptian food isn't one of the best in North Africa, and certainly doesn't compete very well with Moroccan food, which is much more delicious and healthy. The best thing I did when travelling around Egypt was to live on falafel and simple dishes, coupled with plenty of fresh seasonal fruit juices. Egyptians east tonnes of fried and very fatty foods, even in the height of very hot summers. Obesity's a really big problem,.

  7. the transparency and honestly of this video made me a bigger fan than i already was. no bullshit also iphones footage not bad

  8. Well, this video has settled something I've suspected. These lands and the people are utterly cursed. I shall never visit Egypt. Seems like a hostile place that lacks humanity.

  9. I'm Egyptian, and I feel sorry to watch you have such a bad experience. I hope this video reaches the officials and that there will be a change for the best in how tourists are treated soon.

  10. Well – at least you'll have some serious memories you will NEVER forget. Maybe when the government of Egypt sees their tourism drop by 50%, then realizes your video was actually quite complimentary (except for the police and government), they'll personally invite you back with an all access, back stage pass to do it all over again. Glad I didn't go there just before the COVID-19's were all the rage.

  11. Thank you Sonny and your whole team on what you'll all want through, I went there years ago with a few buddies of mine while in the service. I did love the food there just not the bs that we went through and we were all in the service at the time so we were harassed when we arrived as well.. I would never go back and for us we all love history and food lol.. but unfortunately our experience made us never wanting to go back ever and I tell people who I know who want to visit Egypt just to see the pyramids it's not worth it at all especially what you'll go through and it's super over crowded unfortunately

  12. "Oops, your footages are not beautiful enough." 😜

Bruh, your fellow officers frickin ROBBED him of his best/optimal equipments despite Sonny and his team LITERALLY having a physical AND readily available permit on-hand. So then of course he had to use backup equipments to film FOODS. 🙄🤡
