ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – Welcome to North Carolina, and I was very excited to spend a few days in Asheville, one of the most exciting and laid back cities in the United States. They are known for the amazing outdoors, art culture, and delicious food scene. Today I’m taking you on a food tour in Asheville where we’re eating BBQ, one of the best chicken sandwiches in USA, and amazing Indian food!

Also, it was great to hang out with my friends Christy and Croix from Tuk Tuk Box (https://tuktukbox.com/) – Check out their cool Southeast Asian snack boxes, and their spicy box: https://tuktukbox.com/collections/the-boxes/products/phet-phet-pack-w-mark-wiens

Buxton Hall Barbecue (https://goo.gl/maps/UTHPnDc8Z4Zb4224A) – First up on this tour of Asheville we headed to Buxton Hall Barbecue, a restaurant by Chef Elliott Moss and Chef Meherwan Irani. They have a huge menu of Southern USA food along with amazing Carolina barbecue. Their chicken sandwich was rated as one of the best chicken sandwiches in the United States, and as soon as you take your first bite you’ll know why – it’s one of the juiciest, yet crispiest chicken sandwiches you’ll ever have. Amazing restaurant, highly recommended.

The S&W Market (https://goo.gl/maps/kC3xAhoK8EDuZKD17) – Next up we walked over to The S&W Market a food hall in downtown. Chef Elliott Moss has a small chicken sandwich restaurant and they also have brewery and a nice place to eat and relax.

Chai Pani Asheville (https://g.page/ChaiPani?share) – Finally to finish this North Carolina food tour in Asheville we walked over to Chai Pani Asheville, one of the best Indian restaurants, especially for chaats, by Chef Meherwan Irani. Their food is fantastic, and both Croix and I could get enough of the keema, fried okra, and pav bhaji. It’s really a must eat when you’re in Asheville.

And that completes this delicious food tour in Asheville, North Carolina, an amazing laid back town with delicious food and drinks and nature surrounding.

  1. One of the best videos for awhile, Mark.Love Asheville. Was considering moving there but so hard for me to give up Southern Cali! Gets cold in winter there and I am a wimp! Either none of these places were open when I was there or I managed to miss them.Pickles of all kinds make everything better! Loved all the food u ate, especially the chat! Time for another visit to NC! My favorite place in US are beaches of Outer Banks.Wild water, wild horses, amazing seafood.Native American history,Bermuda triangle.Spiritual.❤️❤️❤️

  2. We in Asheville are so happy to have you Mark and I'm so glad to see some local favorites featured! I've lived here all my life and we are truly blessed with the quality and variety of cuisines here, I hope you enjoyed your time here!! Loved the vid!!

  3. Mark I wish you went to Sunny Point Cafe. By far one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to. I am sure you would’ve loved it!! It awesome to see you visit my home state though!!

  4. This is amazing Mr. Weins! Thanks for doing this. Also, seems like little Mr. Weins wants to have his food, I hear him say, "Where's my food?" in the Indian restaurant. Would like to see him do his favorite, eating, someday. Loads of love for now!!!

  5. Mark could eat a raw cow tongue on burt stake bread and smile as big as he can and have his eyes bulging out ,most of it looked great but some of it not so much everything can't be that good or exciting it makes it hard to be able to take his word for some items.

  6. one thing i really don't like about most food vloggers, is how self indulgent they are. there is a lack of focus on the food and what it takes to get there.

  7. Mark, I have to apologize for dogging you for years.

You finally, FINALLY have videos about America. REAL America. Not that west coast and New England that wishes they were America.

  8. If you ever get around to the “Space Coast” of Florida You really need to take a look at Crydermans BBQ in Cocoa Florida. It is the absolute best I’ve ever had!

  9. Still wearing masks there. He in Washington we are done with them. Businesses will get more customers if they do away with them. Y ok u have tho take them off to eat so it doesn't make sense?

  10. Watching your videos is like coming home from work and finding that your friend is in town from abroad. And just like a good friend, I enjoy seeing you happy. I have to be eating when I watch your videos, or else it's straight up torture. Doesn't matter if it's just chips and salsa, I at least am not watching you eat and drooling all over myself.
