This video shows the minutes leading up to the fatal shooting of Judson Albahm, 17, on March 4, 2021. The teen had run away from a mobile crisis unit; his mother called 911 for help getting him into treatment.

The boy was carrying a BB gun. The police said they initially thought it was a real gun.

Four officers from three law enforcement agencies shot and killed the teen. None of those four officers were wearing body cameras. The following video is from another officer at the scene in Jamesville, N.Y. This along with seven other videos were released Friday, March 25, 2022, by Attorney General Letitia James.

  1. Using words like "boy" and "bb gun" shows bias.
How about "criminal" and "replica firearm"?
This criminal wasn't using his "toy" to play. He was using it to MAKE OTHERS THINK he was armed. Criminals use these replica firearms to rob, to steal, to carjack, during home invasions, etc.
Language is important. Stop pretending your entire audience is stupid! Some sure are, but not all.

  2. It’s a sad death of many alike . But one fact remains the police will do anything to cover up mistakes. Bad apples in every walk of life . Gang with radios

  3. The parents made the bad decision to make the gun available to a 17 years old (maybe mentally sick?). If someone is underaged, the parents should be responsible for parenting the kid.

  4. kid didnt stop on his 4wheeler….cop didnt have a choice, the kid forced him to shoot him when he didnt stop. It was the officers life or the kids life when that so badbad kist just didnt stop like that.

  5. Shoot and ask questions later.

Lefties got the cops they wanted. You notice how lefties always get the chaos they want.

    It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

  6. You know better at 17 not to brandish or point a weapon at law enforcement. It happens several times a year. Someone has a BB gun and the police can't tell the difference. So they die. Sad but understandable.

  7. The old saying about not bringing a knife to a gun fight, may need to include a BB gun to the list of weapons that should not be used in a gun fight.

  8. Cops are so afraid of people they shoot 2 unarmed people a week. But they seem not to understand that they are the scary one who kill 1100 people a year. People respond to them how they act and they act aggressively to everyone

  9. Cops nowadays train like they're going to war and it shows in the way that people react to them when they are being super aggressive. These cops are carrying rifles and talking about watch the crossfire the entire time they were walking across this field like they are hunting wild hogs or a deer. I know that cops are always scared for their life but they escalate the situation tremendously when they start grabbing their gun or pulling their gun out, it makes people get scared. They think the cops are there to hurt them. Cops need to realize that people get just as scared as they do whenever somebody's got their hands on a gun.

  10. Simple…teach them respect…respect for their parents teachers and ultimately the law…sad this teen had to die but I imagine he had plenty of chances to give up……

  11. To those complaining about the cops again, Go become a cop. Since you're obviously perfect I'm sure you would know how to diffuse the situation perfectly every time. So go be a cop and fix it.

  12. Seems that the 17 year old made some very bad decisions. Before it gets too bad the cops most always give the person commands and since there was a chase the 17 year old did not comply. If you don't comply you could die. Something the parents should have taught the 17 year old while he was growing up.

  13. He was hunted down. For what? And why didn't they release the footage of the cops that shot him? They knew he had a BB gun.

This autistic boy's mother called the police for help as he had run away after interaction with the psychiatric team who had come to speak with him. His mom reported that he owned Air soft guns and may have one with him.

While police were talking to Judson's mom he was spotted near the residence, but ran away when he saw police.

What SHOULD have happened is they should have retreated and once he calmed down he'd have come home.

Instead, he was hunted down and executed for pointing his BB gun at police.

  14. Only call the police if you want someone killed, brutalized, or set up to be incarcerated. In the beginning of the video, it is clear they intend to shoot him. Around 0:26 they are discussing crossfire.

  15. Sooooooooo what exactly happened again? While I'm willing going to go with narrative that this kid did something wrong, this clip didn't show the specific reason for his demise.
