  1. I hope little Porkchop lives a long, happy life! I took care of two hydro Chi’s for a long time. It can be tricky. There’s a lot of love, time and sometimes heartbreak involved.

  2. She is so adorable & her name is so fitting! A real butterball. I've always had Rescues, Chihuahuas – but never Frenchies. I am disabled & in a wheelchair, so obviously I've thought my next dog should also be handicapped. One of my Chi's had seizures & a heart condition, both quite severe until he passed last year at 17. My second Chi suffered from PTSD due to abuse; he also passed last year at 15. So if you could tell me/us what type of medical care a Frenchie with Hydro and/of Cleft & an estimate cost for medical care (therapy/surgery/medications could run and your group seems to post a lot of Frenchies with these two conditions, I'd certainly be aware before I inquired about one of these dogs before I considered adoption at least to ask intelligent questions before I fostered or adopted one of them as I would not want to take home what I could not care for. Like I said I've never had or really been around a Frenchie; are these breed specific issues (as seizures are to Chi's) of are these more of a puppy mill/breeding thing?
I hope you provide some of this info because like any good pet owner one must be willing to know the breed & condition(s) before and not after. Of course I'm aware that each dog could vary in severity, treatment and/or cost. In any case as always I appreciate you & your fosters for everything you do to save these babies.
