  1. The Boeing 737 is a 57-year-old design (based on the 707) beset by rudder (1990s) and horizontal-stabiliser problems ('Max' version). I hope it is the final death knell for this geriatric plane, of which 10,926 have been built. Airbuses have modern designs and are my preferred equipment for short haul. Boeing's wide-bodies — 777 & 787 — are much newer and safer.

The China crash is a carbon-copy of the SilkAir 185 disaster in 1997 over Sumatra. The NTSB tried to blame pilot suicide (unproven) to protect the brand but relatives won in LA court against the rudder-servo actuator manufacturer. A faulty part caused an uncommanded hard-over rudder in cruise, spinning the plane downwards, from which the pilots could not recover. Regulators cannot be trusted; passengers have to do their own research.

  2. majority plane crashes happen during spring and summers months . It so strange even MH370 happened in March . Someone needs to study this

  3. so, it wasn't the Boeing 737 Max, but it was the MCAS system. no doubt what kept the aircraft in the air, was that the older engines on the 737 NG didn't require additional augmentation via the MCAS – preventing its use, but not totally eliminating it.
MCAS automatically sends the plane into a nose-dive, when the sensors determine the plane is about to stall – for example if the pitot tubes have been accumulating debris, thus sending a false air-speed condition to the computer. without enough redundancy, the onboard computer activates a program to send the aircraft into an erroneous nose-dive, to gain speed, and hence lift.

  4. Is anonymous behind this? Perhaps because china is in support of Russia that’s the reason why. These are the “consequences”
