Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday the country had reached a “strategic turning point” and was moving towards “victory” in its war with Russia, as analysts believe Moscow could now be planning an assault on Kyiv within days.
The battle for Kyiv is “looming large” as the Russian convoy is on the move again after facing logistical issues and stalled progress in the face of Ukrainian resistance over the past two weeks, Mathieu Boulegue, a research fellow on Russia and Eurasia at Chatham said.
On Thursday, the Ukrainian military fought back Russian forces in a village near Kyiv, Radio Free Europe reported. A video released by a crew of journalists accompanying Ukrainian soldiers shows troops advancing towards an unidentified location and coordinating the operation while under heavy gunfire.

What a Propaganda.
Russia needs to flood the skies with bombers just like in WW II. The Ukraine is fighting from a guerilla position. Once Russia starts flying over with massive bomb drops there will be no street fighting because everything will be gone. Just do things the old fashioned way by dropping thousands of bombs from the sky. If there are no buildings or homes left to fight for the guerilla's will become exposed. There only choice will then be to use terrorist tactics as there is no building to building fighting like the West keeps predicting. Fire up the old bombers and left them have it full force drop after drop. As the people flee in mass the guerilla's become exposed. This will cause a new border to emerge along the river securing the next wave of Russian Soldiers who will penetrate straight out of Russia through Luhansk. Massive ground force is coming that will split into 3 fronts. One going North, one South and one remaining to secure supply lines. Before Putin sends another army Russia will first expose the fact that Americans are flying the drones hitting Russian targets. This will escalate the war as Russia will regard this act by America as an act of War. Putin will then make an open declaration of war against America. His response in doing so will be a nuclear missile drop in the center of Western Ukraine. America has already backed Putin into a corner declaring him a "War Criminal." Putin has nothing left to lose and the West has everything to lose if Putin drops a nuclear bomb on Western Ukraine. One nuke and the world is changed forever facing massive ecological destruction worldwide as the fallout spreads warming the planet. All resupply lines will be cut off and halted because of the nuclear disaster that will occur. Putin sees this one way and one way only, nukes are on the table and not the battlefield kind. This war can end before the makers of the weapons of war takeover. Then again, it may be too late as the Russians are not being stalled and are waiting for that nuke to be dropped first before advancing further.
Ukraine is winning and winning BIG! Russian forces are being DECIMATED! Reports coming in everywhere that Russian military are in full retreat. Russia soldiers are surrendering and deserting in mass. President Zelensky is fighting on the frontline with the Ukrainian army inspiring the nation and the whole world. With him fighting on your side Ukraine cannot lose! The war has show how weak Russia really is. There's even talk now of Ukraine invading Russia to take out evil Putin.
I’m not taking sides here, but people have to realize this is all propaganda. Ukraine isn’t winning. I just need to say this because this portrayal of events is deceiving to the public eye in the west. The best outcome is for zelensky to surrender to save his people. Otherwise there is no hope, and help from the west isn’t coming because if that happens there’s a risk of nuclear warfare which as it sounds, is not good.

What the Ukraine president, and the west: the United States, and NATO need to do is grant assylum to all Russian soldier who willingly give up their weapon's and surrender in oppose to; and protest against the war in Ukraine. Make sure the surrender is filmed and a statement is give to the public on why they choose to defect from Russia. This will save both Russian soldiers and Ukrainian lives.
