A powerful cyclone has caused natural disasters in the African state of Malawi. 5 days of intense rain combined with gusty winds resulted in high river levels and massive flooding. Stormy waters washed away everything in its path, destroying houses, roads, bridges and power lines. All this greatly complicates the provision of assistance to the affected areas, in which there is a shortage of drinking water and no electricity.
