Volcán de Fuego in Guatemala erupts with 4,500m plume of ash and pyroclastic flows
A large explosion has been heard for miles around after Volcan du Fuego erupted in Guatemala and deposited molten lava.
It comes after a phase of ‘intense activity’ at the Santiaguito volcano in the past week, where 10 moderate pyroclastic flows were registered between 30 and 31 January.
An eruption at the same site in 2018 saw a British backpacker almost caught up in an explosion that ended up killing 25 people.
The international airport in Guatemala City – around 27 miles away – was forced to close, after the runway and aircraft were covered with volcanic materials.
The eruption led the Foreign Office to advise Brits in the area to keep up to date with local officials’ advice.

Climate change is caused by lethal and deadly chemicals that have found their way into our World environment. Sodium and Potassium Hydroxide us d in restaurant hood and vent cleaning chemicals. These caustic chemicals are explosive, flammable and hydrostatically charged. They were illegally dumped into our drinking water which is an expensive and necessary basic need. Animals, insects, sharks, killer whales all become more aggressive in their changing environment. I live in a free country and I have been treated like a prisoner in an illegal environment. I have these people who try to keep me in a controlling burgeouis corrupt society. My VA counselors are uncaring and sadistic in nature, it's a wonder how they got their jobs to begin with. Even the churches that use thousands against me have to be investigated for their parts in creating Manchurian Candidates Nationwide and Worldwide. Millions have been reduced down to nothing and is it any wonder how they are perceived in the Worldwide theatrical display. How are we as a Nation being perceived of now? How long will these common criminals be allowed to illegally provoke and stalk victims like me and others. I want other Nations to help me bring there criminals to justice at their UN World Tribunal Court for Crimes Against Humanity. They have affected the psychological well being of victims Worldwide. Millions have already perished and are dead or committed suicide in wars that exist in USA still in progress.
