Six people are suing the operator of the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan.
They all lived in Fukushima and developed thyroid cancer after an earthquake and tsunami damaged the reactor in 2011.
A UN report last year found that the nuclear disaster had not increased the risk of cancer.

More thyroid cases were found because of the extensive testing. Cases that would not have shown up for many years were suddenly all discovered at once. This makes it look like a spike in cases when it is really a spike in testing.
The doctors tested everyone in Japan including people from far away that had no radiation exposure. They found that Fukushima residents had a LOWER incidence of thyroid cancer than some other unaffected areas. This makes it unlikely that the cancers were caused by Fukushima radiation.

issue is many people are going to get cancer after a decade anyway. the first guy who got cancer was a chain smoker so it probably had nothing to do with the plant.
And the Japanese government is still going to empty the nuclear waste in the ocean to not take responsibility for so someone should sue them for that potential danger. (I will belive it is safe if Japan drinks that toxic waste water for a year then wait another 5 tears to see the affects (as these action are to save money & dumping waste to take no responsibility; loveless money at work again against nature & humanity).
also, watch France try to make nuclear energy legal…..and green'….it is a well known fact that france has relied almost exclusively on nuclear energy and all their nuclear facilities are now reaching an age where they should be shut down, which is very very expensive and dangerous as well, also due to the moratorium on nuclear power in most western countries their is now a shortage of trained professionals as no one wanted to train for a profession in nuclear energy when it was being phased out, so you see, the same game for the same reasons…..greed and absolutely no comprehension of environmental issues. Is Aljazeera going to report Japan will be dumping radioactive water into the ocean with the support of the US? They claim the contaminated water is safe.
