On “Super Scary Plane Landings” – The average person now flies out on two holidays per year. But as many have learned – and filmed on phones and personal cameras – arriving in one piece is not as easy as we like to think. We want safe travel to faraway holiday havens, but that means pilots flying ever more perilous journeys, landing on runways sandwiched between ocean and mountains or inches from skyscrapers or even on water.

The moment that aircraft leaves the ground, you are at its mechanical mercy. There is no pulling off to the curb on this ride!
Of course he was doing his best even if his kid wasn’t there. Why? Because he needed to save his life and passengers life for sure.
As someone who flies at least 5 times a year, watching all this dangerous landings and plane crashes is not the best way to spent time. 😅BTW Anastasia Eliot if you read this I might say you are a cuttie 😁
Incredible. The turbulence affected the business class also.
Not gonna lie that slide kind of looks fun.
Watching this before a flight really does hit different..
I think those two 'survivors' need to suck it up.
The worst case scenario is that the plane ends up in the water.
But that’s not the only possible scenario. There’s this thing called the go around. That’s something intelligent, competent pilots would choose rather than risk lives with a dangerous landing.
Yeah, runways that are only one and a quarter mile long are incredibly dangerous.
A big thank you for the skill of the pilots to bring those down in one piece.
3:44 = Hot chick
Why is there no undercarriage camera ?
If the wheels lock up why don’t they design a 2nd set of rubber bumpers per each wheel to deploy? (I named it, it’s mine!!!) thus making it safe to land?
Salute to those pilots who make sure that their passengers arrive at their destination safely despite any problems
Typical dry British: "You've left multiple parts and there is smoke as you left the runway"It's a though he is telling the pilot, "aye come back and clean up the mess you left."
"I was texting my wife….hey if this is the real thing I definitely love you and the kids"
"And if it's not I can't stand the sight of you, you nasty old cow, and the kids make me feel sick"
Kinda dumb to think that having the pilots daughter on board is going to make any difference, pilot can only do what he can do with whatever equipment that operating, luckily the remaining 3 held up and everyone was safe.
Crazy how pilots always get blamed and not The FAA
Waste of time..
He slammed that 747 in the runway….. why?
Proof that you should never ignore that "check engine" light.
why have I taken an interest in plane crashes less than a week before I fly to Vegas?
If not fairing and cutting power then go around, if you have one out of 4 wheels not down have all the passengers share a seat on the side with all the wheels
Why don't they land going in from the ocean and land going uphill with no obstacles in the way? Uphill, slows the plane more quickly and the only thing they have to worry about is hitting the runway. Must be some reason for not doing that approach.
That "impossible airport" why in the world don't they land from the opposite, sea side and no danger of collision.
The pilot is going to try and get down safe because he doesn't want to be in danger either. Most pilots care about their passengers, that's why many have picked a line of work that involves transporting people. I don't believe he would have done any different if his daughter wasn't on the airplane.
everyone: HEAD DOWN FEET BACK
me: CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP
17:59 La Española is not only Haiti but also the Dominican Republic! 😠
The engineers responsible for these avoidable accidents should face prison time
Again, again, and again it is an error by maintenance.!
At 19:03, I've seen this airstrip before, and recordings of the breathtaking landings. I wonder if they've looked into the possibility of building a viaduct? It seems that if it was possible, the airstrip could be lengthened and road vehicles would be out of the way.
at st barts why dont they land in from the other side up hill?
And that is why I like Taking the train instead.
I like how they didnt interview actual pilots or passengers who know whats happening, and instead they interview people who are scared of a fuel dump. Im not saying their fears arent genuine, but its really stretching the drama.
If you weren’t scared of flying before watching this video you definitely should be now lol. What I found disturbing was two things:
First was how many of these accidents were because of maintenance crews not doing their job correctly and
Second was how many of the flights were either ones that ive been on previously or that I’m likely to be on in the next couple of years for trips that I’m planning lol
Wish me luck and pray for me lol
Excellent documentary well done.🤔.
Matatan.ᕙ[・・]ᕗ. Ribirin HS.ᕙ[・・]ᕗRD.🤔.
WOW very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
It was almost like that 747 pilot wanted to crash because of the way slammed that jet onto the runway. He shouldn't had blown any tires out
Excellent videos and great commentary. Thank you
When the landing gear wont go down – why not get to your destination and then deal w it rather than going right back?
Why is their no camera under the plane to check landing gear. Seems like an easy solution
