It's mind over matter, Ma nature just doesn't mind that you think it matters.
The weirdest thing I ever saw was I was sitting in a window sill with 3 ft of wood on each side coming straight down the building from the top and the lightning I was sitting with my nose pressed against the glass looking out the window and the lightning got caught in between the two walls of wood and went straight down those walls that thankfully were on the outside of the window and into the ground it was amazing and I'm around active volcanoes all the time I live in Oregon and visit Washington and so yeah anytime I don't want to be there when they go though
