Bizarre storms wrack the U.S. while simultaneously gruesome murders are occurring. Two scientists find a Sumerian statue of the storm god Ba’al and conclude that the storms and murders are somehow related to the statue. Can they stop it in time?

In the Bible, the term Baal means "owner, master", but was also an ancient Canaanite god of agriculture, and in which its cohort or "mate" was the fertility goddess Ashtoreth. It is incorportated into a person's name, such as "Baal-hanan, son of Achbor" (Gen 36:38) as well as the name of cities, such as Bamoth-baal, that means "High Places of Baal".(Num 22:41)
It was also used in reference to a husband as an "owner" of his wife, whereby Genesis 20:3 says that "afterward, God came by night to A·bimʹe·lech (king of Gerar) in a dream and said to him: “Here you are as good as dead because of the woman (Sarah, Abraham's wife) whom you have taken, since she is married and belongs to (or is "owned" by) another man (literally by a husband)."
The false god Baal was the reason why God destroyed some 24,000 men of Israel just before they entered the land of Canaan as their inheritance, who had attached themselves to Baal of Peor and its sex worship, having sexual relations with the "daughters of Moab" who called the men to their false religious sacrifices of Baal through sex.(Num 25:1-14; Ps 106:28)
This attachment to Baal became more and more pronounced (1 Kings 18:26) so that God, whose name is Jehovah (see Isa 12:2, KJV), caused the ten tribe kingdom of Israel to be taken into exile by Assyrian King Shalmanezer V and his brother Sargon II in 740 B.C.E.(2 Kings 17:23), and then the two tribe kingdom of Judah in 607 B.C.E (Jer 32:35) by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar (2 Kings 25:8-10), with the people of both "kingdoms" worshipping it and other false gods instead of the true God, Jehovah, who they were in a covenanted relationship with.(Ex 19:5, 6)

Idk when this was made but I like the concept! Good movie. Less climatic but it was probably made some time ago before CGI was as good as it is now.

“Scott” — in what looks like an Air Force uniform — has an enlisted rank in his sleeves and captain’s bars on his collars. An unbelievable goof! A “superior” officer walks up and calls him “lieutenant”! Silliness!
Not long and drawn out . To the point and I find a reasonably good movie. I didn't get board with it and the actors did a great job. Loved the effects of cloud and all that cryptic stuff . I'd recommend it
