I'm the same way you are, I rescued odis a french bulldog he went everywhere I went he would have high anxiety if I would run to the store. When odis turned 12 years old he developed heart problems, I wouldn't go anywhere I stayed with him 24/7 he brought me so much joy in my life that I wanted to stay home and take care of him and make him feel very comfortable what time he had left. I would get upset when people would say he's just a dog. He was my soul dog and I would do it all again❤

BTY, let me offer something that you might experiment with; something with no downside of toxicity [unless you went way over the recommended amount per kilogram of body weight]. The dosage scale is the same for humans, dogs, rats and any other animal.
Methylene Blue tablets—drops put into water wouldn't work due to staining her tongue—could help her regain much of her strength and improve her condition overall. It's worth a try in that the pharmaceutical grade Methylene Blue isn't expensive to try. If interested, I'll be more specific.

Having a senior dog is hard. Mine is 15 and has a lot of health conditions as well. He’s my child and my furbaby and going thru this roller coaster with him is hard but I wouldn’t change it for anything.

OK let's fix something: when you purchase a 4 month old puppy, you are not "rescuing" it. You are getting a puppy the normal way. That should be enough for you. No need to call it a rescue. "First part of her life is kind of unknown". BULLSHIT. She was 4 month old.
