When I was a kid, I and my family used to visit Uncle Ron. Uncle Ron used to stay alone in an old cottage, inside a dense forest. He was a nature lover, so he hated towns and cities. He always enjoyed being in the company of mountains, rivers, and trees. Everything was going on smoothly. Then, in Feb. 2006, we received a phone call. Uncle Ron had died. After burying Uncle Ron in the forest graveyard, we returned home. We never went back to the cottage until last year. Last year, during the summer season, me and my friends decided to visit Uncle Ron’s cottage, because my friends wanted to hike in the forest and on the nearby mountains that surrounded the forest. I decided to drive them to the forest that night. We took I-40 West, and using our GPS system, we reached the destination, in about 6 hours. The cottage was looking extremely abandoned, but it was still looking neat and tidy, as if someone had cleaned it up yesterday. This came as a surprise to us, because after Uncle Ron’s death, we had thoroughly secured the entire cottage, 10 years ago. How could an old cottage remain neat and tidy for such a long duration? We had no answers. Me and my friends were sleeping in the living room. All of a sudden, my friend Jacob heard a knock on the door and the sound of footsteps. He woke me up. It was 2 a.m. in the morning. To find out the source of this sound, me and my friends, decided to conduct a search in the neighboring forest. We took our flashlights with us. We also took a knife with us, to protect ourselves from wild animals and ghosts. It was the ghost, of Uncle Ron. It started raining heavily, but me and my friends decided to not stay inside the haunted forest cottage. We dumped our luggage in the car and headed towards New Mexico at 3 a.m. Based on a true story.
