You wouldn’t expect to find a 2 pound puppy curled up next to a dumpster in a parking lot. But that is exactly where a Good Samaritan found little Squidget…

  1. God bles u angel rescuers and all your swetties there…to those who have a kind heart…..please donate …the Almighty will reward you ten times fold….thank you so much????????????

  2. If indeed, Squidge got loose and ran away from her owners, she still showed signs of neglect and malnourishment. I hope she got a loving home where she was well cared for. And if she 'belonged to somebody"? (Which sounds like a crock to me!), they were pretty freaking blase about looking after her – and don't deserve to have her..good for MHS.

  3. omg bless her she's so adorable hope she's a good home now I'll never understand the human race some plp are just pure evil … shall we bring a law out to put them down wen they hurt innocent animal's

  4. She is so freaking cute!! And what a perfect name too! I hope she's found just the right forever home she's a little doll ☺ Thank you MHS!

  5. Awww she is a little maltese and my maltese is two years old and weighs almost 6 pounds. Maltese are wonderful dogs, generally very happy, extremely playful, and love to be loved.

  6. She's so tiny cuz she's a Maltese. The personallity described is typical for these little dogs.I love mine so much I got one for my mom too. They're just absolute little firecrackers!

  7. To Sheila Torango: You should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER let your little dog have the run of the backyard unless someone is out there to supervise her every move. Especially a dog that tiny.

When I had two small dogs, they didn't go outside but that they had someone with them to watch them. Also, I got them chipped right away so they could be easily identified if we ever got separated from them (fire, home invasion, storm, etc.).

When they were puppies, I realized that they could be looked at as a meal for birds of prey, so I was extra cautious about supervising them for the first year. Smidget was so tiny at 8 months, she would probably have to be watched very closely for her entire life.

These are things you need to think about before you bring a dog, especially such a tiny one, into your life.

  8. Did she find a new home?I don't have a dog but I would keep it inside or in fenced in yard.Around here some have fences and some just walk their dogs a few times a day ( on leashes ).

  9. awwww I want her she is so so adorable wished I could get her she would be spoiled rotten …..Hope she gets a good for ever home bless her little heart …

  10. Happier to believe the MHS. Don't insult them or stop supporting them because of the person below. This dog was rescued, treated, fed. Then finally a video made. After all this time, the alleged owner shows up, willing to pay a solicitor to sue over a neglected, Yes, neglected dog. Keep up the excellent work MHS. You are incredible heroes.

  11. Why wouldnt people chip their dogs? This is not optional. If someone told me a dog they found is theirs and the dog didnt respond to them I wouldnt hand them the dog either. Microchips get pets back home! Please chip your dogs people!
