A hurricane watch is in effect from Cameron, Louisiana to the Mississippi-Alabama border. A tropical storm watch is in effect from the Mississippi-Alabama border to the Alabama-Florida border.
A storm surge watch is in effect from Sabine Pass to the Alabama-Florida border, and Vermilion Bay, Lake Borgne, Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Maurepas, and Mobile Bay.

Here’s an idea… Instead of the stimulus checks, why don’t we literally spend that money on the people in the state that are going to deal with total devastation? And maybe financially help them move out of the state as a whole? Honestly, no one should be living there. I know that sounds really negative but it’s just a matter of time before families and animals deal with the disaster. I think the state of New Orleans should become a place of tourism and history, and nothing else. It’s just not safe and not realistic to call it home.
