wow i have some of the same issues! i had a softball sized hiatal hernia in my esophagus that i had surgery on when i was 17 (i also have little scars on my stomach from that like you were saying you have) & i also wasn't digesting my food, like you! but mine was because apparently since i was a preemie i hadn't developed the valve that connects your esophagus to your stomach (you would think a doctor would've figured that out before age 17) so yeah i had a valve constructed for me! so basically long story short, you aren't alone xoxo
