Actor Burt Ward, best known for playing Robin in the 1960s “Batman” TV series, was praised by Ellen for his amazing efforts in rescuing dogs. Through his Gentle Giants Rescues and Adoptions organization, Burt and his wife have saved 15,000 dogs, and created a dog food line that doubles and sometimes triples a dog’s lifespan.

  1. Burt Ward- Liar, Liar, pants on fire!!! Shame on you for pretending any of your giant breeds live that long. I looked at the ingredients listed on your dog food and I sure wouldn't feed it to MY dogs. People, do a little online research before you believe anything in this video.

  2. My dogs eat gentle giants!!!! This is a miracle food! The ingredients seem pretty average quality but the trick is that it is designed to prevent bloat, the #1 killer of giant dog breeds. Hence the longer lifespans!! My dogs enjoy it because it tastes good and doesn’t upset their stomachs!

  3. I wonder if Mr. Ward is aware of Dr. Pohl of the hit reality tv show "the incredable Dr. Pohl". He has always liked Great Danes and has three of his own. Mr. Ward, you and your wife are such inspiring people and do such great work!!!

  4. Hopefully he never turns into a sell out and doesnt raise the prices. I love what he does!!!! Played a hero on tv but his true heroism is real for all those dogs

  5. I can’t believe people think this is a good thing! The minimum a dog goes for in his “ rescue”, is 1200.00. He has been investigated many times by Animal
control but they keep letting him go. His dogs are bred and he only takes certain breeds and always has puppies. I am just so upset….to see Ellen saying his rescue is a good thing. Go there. Look at ALL the dogs. Not just the ones they bring to you one at a time. You never see them all together. Just lies. He has very rare dogs. Not just great danes and st bernards. These are bred for sale. Not rescue.
