The Dominican Republic ordered the sending of humanitarian aid to the neighboring nation of Haiti, as well as the relief of the population at risk, after being shaken by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the south of that country.
The aid is being coordinated by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Administrative of the Presidency, which contacted the Haitian authorities from early hours to provide the necessary support in the face of the natural disaster.
The Ministry of Defense provided an aircraft to mobilize the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and three wounded, including a minor, from Les Cayes to Port-au-Prince, to continue supporting.
