In Japan, we are supposed to stop at every train track, crack the window open so we can hear the bell and train, and never shift change (if you have a manual shift car) while crossing so the car won't stall accidentally. This is defined by law.
Many accidents on this video are totally caused by their stupidity and could have been prevented.

A full freight train can weigh upwards of 44 million pounds. A semi truck with a full load is probably about 80,000lbs as far as I know. (I don't really care what the heaviest truck or train weighs, these numbers are from google for the sake of making a point.) That is only about 0.18% the weight of the train.
That's roughly the ratio of an average person to a mouse.

What's up with all the semis? Trucks that travel 100,000 miles only to stall at the worst possible place – right on a set of railroad tracks? How can that be? There was a derailment not far from a vacation home I had years ago. One of the cars was filled with Miller Lite beer which was spread across the tracks and into the weeds on either side. Rail employees kept yelling at us to leave the beer and get away which we did until dark. When we came back every one of the cans had holes punched in them as if they used a 12 x 12 inch board with a bunch of nails hammered into it and a 2×4 nailed into the top for a handle. They just walked around driving nails into every can they could find though we did find a few they missed. Not my favorite beer but I didn't have time to wait for a Bud train to derail.
