?ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. I love that ur from Minnesota! It inspires me that someday I might be able 2 see other places as well. Im 41 and have only ever been 2 Prescott Wisconsin lol. This channel is amazing and I hope can pick up again 4 unusual travels asap. My fav is when u get into tribes and civilizations rarely seen! Such a huge learning possibility, more important than ever 2 be shown.

  2. i usually dont watch ur videos because they are americanized quite alot, atleast for me to the extent where i dont enjoy a game show, but this format is nice
    i enjoyed it

  5. 26:43 – Note the difference in her approach cooking. She stands TALL while cooking: she doesn't hover with her head hanging over the food like many cooks in the West. EXCELLENT!

  6. I worked on a cruise ship when I visited Vietnam 2 years ago and I realized that the 'little old Vietnamese ladies' are exceptionally strong. Their muscles do not have 'knots' like western muscles. Their muscles are actually very flat and elastic and I was able to go straight to their bones with no painful effect on the client. I had a 66-year female Vietnamese client to whom I had to give to hardest neck massage in my 6 years as a massage therapist.

  7. thanks to the French bringing their bread culture to Vietnam. Other wise it would just be the typical English cottonwool bread they are known for

  8. Kon Tum and Pleiku have been my home for the past two years. I love the Bahnar people here, mostly because of the culture and kind hearted nature. My wife and son are Bahnar and I've never been more happy…………. until I realized that BEFRS came here and I completely missed it somehow. Now my wife won't stop asking me why I'm crying……..
