This documentary is an investigation into the anatomy of a volcanic eruption: from the science behind recent events, to installing a 'spider '(a special device to monitor volcanoes, predict eruptions), preparing for a possible mega disaster that many scientists and experts are sure is yet to happen. 

   Remember the 79 AD eruption when the Vesuvius, towering over Pompeii, killed 20,000 people. Yeah you remember that one. Well, from your history books obviously. The People of Naples, who live in Vesuvius' shadow, live in the highest risk zone in the world. Yikes. I totally did not know that. 

   Using archive footage, computer animation and expert interviews with Rick LaHusen, engineer, and Dr.Giuseppe Mastrolorenzo – volcanologist – we expose the characteristics of natural disasters.

8. a volcano is able to blow this planet into oblivion. These volcanos are small because nothing is keeping them that small just waite till they grow huge. Like one be half the planet. You what its gonna be like when you blow a ballon up big as it can get then let it go.all over the place with winds so high people won't even no they been dead for 6 months.

15. What's scary is that not only do you have Mount Saint Helens you got Mount Rainier Mount Hood Mount Shasta and a whole bunch of other smaller volcanoes all up in that area.

16. I remember when I was 9 years old and Mount Saint Helens erupted and 400 miles away in Boise Idaho you could see small bits of ash coming down and it changed the color of the sunset.

17. Every time I drive by Mount Saint Helens I always keep an eye on it because in 2004 when I was flying back from Peru I looked out the window of the turboprop and Mount Saint Helens with spewing smoke and ash even then.. It's not finished.
