It is a miracle that there are any drivers left alive in Russia! The best general advice is to assume any big truck has no brakes left.
One thing i've noticed about accidents in Russia. When there are people walking on the street when they happen they almost never bat an eye. It's like it happens so often they gave up caring.
I will complain about traffic where I live much less now. At least I'm making it to work everyday.
