04.11.2020 | 12:00 AM | MOORPARK – A fiery crash near a middle school claimed the lives of three people, early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle fire near the Chaparral Middle School located in the 200 block of Poindexter shortly after 12:00 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a single vehicle that had lost control on a curve before striking a tree and becoming engulfed in heavy fire.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire but discovered three individuals deceased inside the vehicle.
The scene of the crash was cordoned off while authorities investigated what they believe is a speed-related crash.
Additional information including the identities of the deceased was immediately available.
