Rescue Poor Dog Who Was Fallen Into A Drain For Three Days

We received a call for assistance when a senior citizen, Likas reported about his dog had fallen into a drain for three days, he called HEART for help and we attended to the case immediately.
Mr.Quek, 70, has lived alone with his dog Betsy since the wife passed away. He has no car and living on his pension. In his case, a dog truly is a man’s best friend.
He didn’t know who to call for aid when his dog fell sick until someone gave him our mobile number. When we arrived it became obvious to us that it was distemper, since all the symptoms like twitching, discharged from the eyes and nose were a 100% match. As much as we wanted to immediately bring Betsy over to a veterinarian to get her treated we had to bring her on the following day due to unforeseen HEART circumstances.
At the Shakalaka veterinary clinic, the vet began to treat the dog Betsy for her distemper. Throughout the examination, Betsy was very calm and collected, despite having to endure the discomfort and pain from Canine distemper. The vet put her on an IV drip and gave her an antibiotic shot and vitamins.
In spite of this challenge, the dog owner, Mr.Quek is giving a beautiful message: love and commitment are worth it.
We are so touched and so proud how Mr. Quek is showing such great responsibility and kindness as a caretaker and loyal, affectionate, compassionate, empathic and understanding toward Betsy.
