02.28.2020 | 12:10 AM | LOS ANGELES – Detectives are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in the passenger seat of a car, early Friday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Western and 42nd in the Vermont Square around 12:10 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a vehicle with a woman suffering from a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a sedan.
Firefighter paramedics attempted to treat the woman on scene but pronounced her deceased on scene.
The status of the driver was not immediately known but officers believe the shooting occurred near the intersection of Harvard and 42nd.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
