  1. We had a 7.3 in 1992, Landers earthquake, and it did no damage to our house which was just about to get final inspection for completion of our construction. Everything in our house is either bolted to the wall or Gorilla duct taped to shelves. After that quake we're not to worried. Our house is bolted to the foundation and tied down with metal straps that go into the foundation. We might have damage if's an 8.0 and it lasts for an extended period of time like the Alaska quake that was a 9.2 and lasted for 4 minutes.

  2. There are many earthquakes daily. The 7.7 one near JA there is a fault line there. There were several more after that and they continue. Puerto Rico gets several a day along with Japan and many others. I’ve experienced one and even though was small I couldn’t believe the shaking. Was on the phone in JA when the 7.7 happened. There was damage on the South Coast even, buildings cracked.

  3. the last earthquake hits here in the philippines was december 19 2019 ah magnitude 7.2 hits some parts of mindanao…..and a lost of life…

  4. I remember how when I was in college and in one of the piano practice rooms going over some music when all of the pianos started playing themselves, albeit rather discordantly…

  5. The 5.8 in Montana was freaky. I had felt 3.8 and 3.5 bumps here before, but when the 5.8 hit, it was creepy.

  6. The one thing i don't miss when i left southern California in 2007 for Arizona is those pesky earthquakes. But i do miss the food in LA.

  7. When a 6.1 magitude earthquake hit the Phillipipines me and my causin was in the bedroom and the rest was in the living room. After the earthquake there was no electricity for a few hours. The next day we watch the news and the news said in the future there will be earthquake named "The big one" which is a magnitude of 7.1. Then another news about a Mall near us which is also an airport that some of the glass of the building broke. Then another news about a grocery store literally collapse and a girl got trapped and needed to cut her foot.Hopefully no more earthquakes to come and let us be safe

  10. That 2019 earthquake was not in LA it was in Ridgecrest and felt as far away as LA. it was a 7.1 magnitude. I live in Bakersfield closer to Ridgecrest and that earthquake was anything but light

  11. I felt an earthquake once while on vacation in Greece. It was very weird. It felt like the ground was rubber bouncing from side to side. It wasn't a very powerful one but it was enough to make cars rock and trees shake. Afterwards you could hear these loud booming sounds coming from deep in the earth. The power of the booms was amazing. It made me feel very small.
