Boxing Day Tsunami 2004 Thailand | Second part

Spread The Viralist

In this episode of the video series about the tsunami in the Indian Ocean, we will explore the effects of the tsunami wave in Thailand, Phi Phi and Koh Lanta, and other smaller islands. The Tsunami behaved very strangely here and was very erratic. See the video for more information. The purpose of the video is to show the behavior in the shallow sea and to map its wandering and effects. The intention is not to shock and therefore, you will not find explicit shots of destruction here, only informative maps and accompanying illustration shots.

  1. Some ask why I put music in my videos. Please note that many of the videos used have no sound background or are of very poor quality, corresponding to the recording devices of that time. In addition, there is a lot of maps in video. In order to combine this into a coherent whole and story, it is necessary to support the video with musical accompaniment. Without music, any documentary would be half. Friends, thank you for your favor.

  3. It's amazing how out-of-touch we humans are with the natural world. Studies have shown that not one wild animal was killed during the 2004 tsunami, but approximately 230,000 humans perished. The animals knew something was coming and headed for high ground. A captive baby elephant in Thailand who was forced to give rides to tourists saved the life of a little girl by disregarding his captor/trainer and ran inland with the girl on his back minutes before the tsunami hit. And those tourists in Koh Lanta yukking it up when the small first wave hit…

  4. Paradise Lost just a rip off idea that fits, like the absurd "B" movie sound track. Thanks for the small amount of real audio though and the content is solid. This happened in 2004, how is the area here flourished since the Tsunami?

  5. Thanks for making the effort to post this interesting documentary.
I’ve been to Thailand many’s times luckily I wasn’t there at the time of the tsunami.
