  1. It's videos like this that remind me of why I decided that one of my dreams is to Foster animals. During the summer between 6th and 7th grade, my father brought home a pregnant pitbull, off of the streets of Detroit. She was obviously breed a lot, and ended up with a form of mastitis after the pups were born. 10 puppies were born, but only 6 made it to adoption. The one I remember most was one that had a defect, his head was permanently tilted down towards his chest. I bottle fed him and cleaned him, holding him for 3 hours before he passed. Another, died in 3 days, and the other 2 within a week. It was a really hard lesson when I was younger, on breeding animals and animal abuse, and it made me determined to want to help Foster in the future, since I believe the 6 healthy pups that were adopted, were so healthy because we were deadset on keeping them well. Watching this video reminded me that the grief from the 4 babes were, in fact, our positive reinforcement in taking care of their siblings

  2. It made my heart cry when I learned Twinkle had died. It's a sad fact that no one can save every being who becomes ill. Even the best doctors and veterinarians lose patients.

But, you did all you could and I know Twinkle's life was much better than her life would have been if she had never met you.

  3. Last year, I took in my first foster cat. She was pregnant and when she gave birth, it was on my 24th birthday… It was also the first time I had been around for a birth. She had six kittens total, but only four survived. The first kitten that died was born with his intestines on the outside and ended up bleeding to death in my hands, and then the next and last kitten that was born just didn't make it. I tried to save her, but couldn't. I had been by myself that entire day, so it was a pretty sucky birthday. It has been over a year now and I still cry over losing those two and despite knowing how wonderful it is to foster I just can't bring myself to foster again.

  4. Before watching your videos, I was going to adopt a kitten who became very sick and ended up passing away from an upper respiratory infection. We took the kitten home but felt helpless because we didn’t have the knowledge or skill to nurse him.
I still feel regret to this day and feel like I should have tried harder. I need to use your advice and remember what I’ve learned from that experience.

  5. I was directed to your video from Kitten O'Clock, thank you so much for your video. Very informative, excellent advice. Bless you and your compassionate heart and however you wish to share it with the world. Much love and blessings.

  6. I love fostering kittens but with that come loss and it’s never easy I started fostering when I lost my first kitten she was so small and looked just like twinkle but after I lost her I knew I could stop care for other kittens who were alone without a momma. It’s always hard having a kitten pass but I always remember I gave them a chance and they passed at least knowing there were loved massively!

  7. You are a compassionate strong lady with a big heart and just have an abundance of love to give, the best kitten mama ever! The work you are doing is wonderful and wish I was in a position to donate to your cause. I have a father cat 1.5 yrs old Sammy Chops and his daughter 8 months old Aurora, my babies and I love them to pieces. You are an angel to all the kitties you help!

  8. Thank you so much for all you do. And for always passing along your new knowledge. I try and do that with my group when I learn from you. You reach so many more cats than you even know!
