From the director

Camera Punk is the result of a year long journey into the lives, minds and attitudes of Fujifilm and its ambassadors. The title describes strong minds with a bleeding passion for photography and art, underlined beautifully by Senior Manager Shin Udono who said:

“This is not a digital device, this is a camera!”

I hope you will enjoy the film

Kind regards

Palle Schultz

  1. This is a glorious, beautiful and passionate film on so many levels – thank you! Here's to all the people and all the passion that made it possible and inspired it.

  2. Never have I seen interviews with so many jump cuts! It's really hard for me to focus on what they are saying if every two seconds their motion and sentences is cut..I know it is Palle Schultz's style and he loves to do that but think about the audience! 15 minutes in and I want to close the video…

  3. Thanks for sharing, my first digital camera was Finepix Mx-700 and later Finepix 610 (both vertical body) and now XH-1. Still like Fujifilm products and colours.

  4. "This is not a digital device… this is a camera." That's it! Everything that makes Fujifilm different from the competition… a focus on the Photographer and Photographs above all else. Fantastic film about the heart and soul of what makes Fujifilm Fujifilm!

  5. its really great to watch this documentary and its very inspiring. honestly im on the x-pro2 and have no desire to change the x-pro3 yet..but really the x-pro series really makes me wanna hold my camera more often and take more pictures. im glad that it wasnt gear to much towards the marketing but rather how people feel and the passion of photography.

  6. I heard recently from theoria apophasis (cia his YouTube video) that a lot people wish fujifilm would remove their color filter so user would end up with a monochrome camera ! Is fuji aware of such demand ? Or not at all ?

  7. You should look into cerakote coating ! It’s as thin as anodized (aluminium) but is awsome because it test thermal (saw a guy cerakote plastic (might want to check if it’s valuable for what you do !

  8. I was deciding between X-T2 and A6500 back in the day, went with Sony A6500 because of video and AF. Now got the A7III when it came out and was planning on having a used X100T/F on the side. But I'm seriously tempted for Fuji again since the X-T3 came out. It's like the perfect hybrid camera (that's not FF, but don't need that for all situations). I love those colors and the video features now compete or even beat other cameras like GH5 and A6xxx series.

  9. As a layman, the love to fuji camera opened the door of photography for me. Yes. I started to love the cameras first and then photography. I'm currently using xt20 and 27mmf2.8, 18-55, 22-200, planning to get a 35mmf1.4. Fuji, please keep up the good work!

  10. Great to hear directly from the passionate innovators at Fujifilm. A company that listens so closely to its user base and takes on board that feedback, thanks to everyone involved.
