Ecologists in Australia now believe more than a billion animals have died in the country’s unprecedented bushfires. More than 25 million acres have burned since September. Researchers say koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and other animals have perished either directly or indirectly as a result of the fires. Jamie Yuccas reports on how an animal rescue group is trying to save them.

  1. I wondered how long it would take for CBS to push their climate change agenda. These fires are horrible and those people helping the animals are amazing. But fires like this happen often, sometimes they're very big, like this one, but also this will go over

  2. My aunt does this in Sydney Australia and she turned her whole back yard into a kangaroo sanctuary. Even before the fire she still nurtures baby kangaroos till their healthy. Comment if you want the full story btw 2 of my aunts are famous.

  3. And just remember one thing they have complete control of the weather and could have made it rain at any time. It's called geoengineering. They chose not to. What does that tell you?

  4. It is estimated that up to a billion animals killed, injured or affected by fires. The fires are still burning. Once the animals have recovered there will be not enough land regeneration for many years to come. Australia is a very dry place with little rainfall. We need small amounts of rainfall and then follow up rains every few weeks. High temperatures will continue. But I want to thank all the help and love from everyone Internationally that Australia has had. It was said at a wildlife sanctuary that koalas are put down if their paws don’t recover because they will not survive as they have to grip trees. There has been suffering also for people with respiratory problems. So much smoke, it has even drifted to New Zealand.

I hope all the support reaches the right organisations and not scammers.

  5. I'm so sorry Australia. I can't fly over there to help out and I don't have enough money to donate but if I could trust me I would. Best wishes to everyone over there helping with the fires and wildlife, y'all are heroes ❤️

  6. Many thanks and much love to all who have been rescuing our precious wildlife. There is no Australia without the Koala, Wallaby, Roos and Joeys. I love each and every one of you for the selfless act of humanity and kindness you are bestowing on the future generations of wildlife. ?

  7. Oh no don’t release them! They have to be kept if they are becoming extinct. What if another fire comes? They are saying it can happen again. It will be all over for these little guys.

  8. The animals suffer lose homes lose lives while the world focuses on iran and a mad man taunting them 2 trillion dollars used on weapons of warfare while innocent lives in us and world wide struggle send those 2 trillion to help those who are burning who lost their mother who are losing everything in the fires save the world not destroy it with violence and hated and weapons use it for good

  9. Humanity is so cruel. Only when something extreme like this happens, they are willing to help. If we did something earlier, all of this "climate change" could've been prevented.
