One thing i have learned in shiny hunting: quick balls and timer balls are your best friends.
A couple of these could of potentially have been avoided if they had a quick ball on them. That first dude did a really bad move of hitting a shiny pokemon with a multi hit attack. I feel like some people don't know the types of pokeballs you should be using here.
Quick balls (always first)
Dusk balls (At night time only or caves)
Net balls (for any pokemon that's bug or water)
Repeat balls (For any pokemon that you've already caught. Would recommend to probably only use it if the quick ball fails and the situation doesn't meet the use of a dusk or net ball.
Honestly it would be better to use the ultra ball only when the quick ball has failed and all other options are limited for the use of the other pokeballs I listed.

This is why you ALWAYS HAVE A PICTURE REFERENCE AS TO WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN SHINY AND IMPLANT IT INTO YOUR MEMORY!!! Like bruh if I didn't know how a shiny Magikarp looked like at first during the Magikarp event I would have lost my shit.

I just can't tell when a Gigantamax Pokémon is shiny. Of course the sparkles help, but I've seen so many people screenshot them and was like… that's shiny?
