Top Workout Fails Of The Week: A Slamming Crunch To The Gut | January 2020 - Part 1
Spread The Viralist

Some lifters get flattened in this week’s batch of top workout fails.

TOP WORKOUT FAILS OF THE WEEK – is a weekly digital series highlighting the best (or worst?) workout fails submitted to Generation Iron and GymFuckery. Combining training injuries, ego lifts, extremely bad form, and even worse decisions. This digital greatest hits of workout fails will make you cringe and laugh to wash away to work week. New episodes every Friday.

Look, sometimes mistakes happen. Even the most skilled of athletes will trip up every once in a while. Sadly, this could lead to some painful accidents when it comes to lifting heavy weight in the gym. That’s just the nature of the game – and this week’s highlight workout fail shows how a routine lift can go horribly wrong.

The bench press is a classic exercise that almost anyone who hits the gym will perform – but when you are putting up heavier weight, you are essentially holding it all over your midsection. Which leads us to this bench press fail that ultimately turns into a flattening gut crunch… or belly bounce if you will.

But that’s just the highlight – we also have some strange lifts, some weird form, and a handful of other gym accidents that lead to painful workout fails. You can check it all out in the latest episode of Top Workout Fails Of The Week above!

  1. Makes me laugh when one uses so much weight they have to use their body weight to get momentum to get it going and then move their body in stead of the body part they are trying to work on…..like doing curls and you swing your body to get the weight up ….LOL

  2. The misunderstood exercise of the week:

Reverse Grip Bench Press. Great for the triceps and pec minor, the RGBP is—unfortunately—too advanced a technique for the pigeon-chested editors at Generation Iron to have seen before. Made popular by the most decorated fitness model of all time, Mike “the Titan” O’Hearn, the RGBP is a fantastic way to add outer thickness to the chest while keeping your rotator cuff safer than during an orthodox barbell bench press.

  3. Generation Iron I just have to thank you for showing such important content to people. I'm starting a channel from scratch and your tips are being very useful. I would love the help of those who can subscribe and help grow my channel. love
