International Animal Rescue film shocking scenes of deforestation and starving orangutans
Spread The Viralist

The International Animal Rescue team have rescued several female orangutans from the ravaged forests of Indonesian Borneo. One female was half starved, her frightened baby clinging to her back, while another was lactating, but her baby was missing, presumed dead or stolen after a desperate search.

The footage shows the IAR team and members of the local forestry department (BKSDA) capturing the starving orangutans and translocating them to areas where there is sufficient food for their survival.

Please show your support for the vital work we are doing every day out in the field. Visit http://www.internationalanimalrescue.org/donate.php to make a donation. Without your support, these orangutans simply don’t stand a chance.

  1. There are Orangutan carcasses buried in that deforested landscape. Many moms and babies died from bulldozers, fires, and machetes/ guns from the human workers.

  2. Humans are assholes. So there is no forest what fkn idiots. Big deal saving when its all for nothing he will end up in a zoo. It looks like a bomb hit that land. Humans must pay for this or not. Big corporations this is how they make money. Dim whit humans. All this effort to save when its destroyed its madness.

  3. I don't think I've ever seen such destruction of a forest. I live in one of the most logged states in the U.S. and they don't even come close to this massacre…

  4. Wow this makes me irate! What's wrong with people? Such destruction and no concern or care at all. It's all about the oh mighty dollar…well we keep this kind of destruction up and there will be no place left on Earth to spend said dollars…

  5. 99.9% of people who watch this aren't going to do anything about it. You all are still going to go to the store and buy chocolate, vegetable oil, shampoo, cosmetics, packaged food, etc. made with the cheap palm oil from this field; thereby supporting and encouraging this. You are NOT going to look into where the oil comes from in the things you buy. If by chance you do, you'll probably refuse to pay the extra money for oil that doesn't come from this.

So FUCK YOU! YOU are doing this to these animals.
