Worlds Worst Flights – Episode 2: Human Error
Human error remains the leading cause of air accidents and when mistakes are made in the cockpit passengers can quickly find themselves in life-threatening situations. When two passengers travelling to New York are caught up in a crash-landing, they have no idea what caused it. In fact, the captain had suddenly taken control of the aircraft from the first officer seconds before landing. The plane lands so hard that the front landing gear collapses, sending it sliding down the runway. Also caught on camera is a flight from London to Oslo which is forced to declare an emergency. The metal structures around both engines are torn off during take-off. As the plane climbs over London, terrified passengers look out the window to see one engine burst into flames. Fear quickly spreads through the cabin…will the other engine also catch fire and bring the plane down? Passengers on a flight from New York to Warsaw also face a nightmare scenario. Their pilot is forced to land their aircraft with no landing gear. Passengers brace for impact and Polish news crews capture the incredible moment the plane heads towards the ground to perform a ‘belly flop’ onto the runway. In 2013, San Francisco airport CCTV captures one of the most shocking aviation crashes in recent years, which left three dead and many injured. Investigations into these incidents found they could all have been avoided if it were not for human error.

  1. On the southwest flight, screwing the landing was one thing, but once the plane is stopped on the ground it becomes a death trap. Those flight attendants not letting the passengers open emergency exits is BS.

  2. Videos like this always hurt my heart. However, even though this is very sad, we have hope. All the people who have lost their loved ones in a plane crash or any bad accident have the hope of seeing their love ones again. There will be "a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous"(Acts 24:15). There is chance that we will see our loved ones again.

  3. HA know one did A walk around checked that British jet What A bunch of crap. This is exactly what they are looking for. Doors unlatched tires flat puddles under it COWL IS ON AND TIGHT ON BOTH SIDES!

  4. FA's are trained to follow a chain of command…..they seem paralyzed or spooked from thinking outside the box. I'll assess the situation myself and determine my actions rather than waiting on an FA to wake the fuck up.

  5. I find very strange that pilots wouldnt find the tripped gear fuse in all that time they had
That should be one of the first things to check imo.
My flight instructor did exactly that when I noticed some light didnt work, asking
    What would you do now?
I said call a mechanic Lol

  6. 26:20 I think the pilots turned around as soon as they can, after analyzing the situation and following the checklist to return safely. It’s not a car it’s an Aircraft need to follow some procedures and coordinate with ATC to come back and land otherwise it will make the situation worse.

  7. Why is it always the passengers being little bitches in situation like these? The pilots and crew also going through the same thing. Their lives also at risk. But you never see them losing their shit. Ofc they have training and stuff, but still they're also human and have emotions.

  8. I’m surprised they failed to mention in the Asiana accident in San Francisco that the 3 girls were killed by a fire truck running over them.

  9. What is that ridiculous airline that doesn't evacuate passengers off a burning plane?
Ladies and gentlemen we are not at the gate.
Yeah no shit Sherlock, we've just crashed!

  10. "Human error is the leading cause of…" while running footage of gear-up landings that were mechanical failure and the pilots had no way of avoiding. They should really have a couple of aware commercial pilots or controllers overseeing the narration and editing of any "documentary" like this.

  11. "We aren't at the gate yet!" well, Sherlock, I wonder how you came to that revolutionary conclusion. Maybe it's the smoke filling the cabin? Or could it be that the plane is skidding around on its belly?

  12. I understand pilots have alot of things to remember and stuff to do, but jesus christ !!….if your landing gear is having problems wouldn't you at least remember to check the "back up landing gear" switch and/or button !???

  13. Crew: We are not at the gate. Please stay seated.
    Passengers: But there's smoke!!
Crew: We are not at the gate. Please stay seated.
Passengers: THE FU(KING AIRCRAFT IS ON FIRE! WE WILL DIE!!!!
    Crew: Paper towels.
