Rescue Dog Plays In Snow For The First Time

Rescue Dog Plays In Snow For The First Time
Spread The Viralist

Hey y’all! Since Christmas fell on a Wednesday this year, we’ve decided to do something a little different than the type of videos we normally post. The summer after completing the Appalachian Trail I found Fancy in the trash behind my house, and she’s always been an anxious, skittish dog. This past summer I took her backpacking on parts of the Pacific Crest Trail and she did an amazing job! Fancy never ceases to make me laugh, so I hope some of this footage of her can spread a little joy into your homes this Christmas. Thank y’all so much for following along with me over the years, and we’ll be back to regularly scheduled videos next week

  1. ? it is a great joy to watch an unwanted shelter dog to come to life with love and patience. So rewarding, thank you for sharing that video I enjoyed it.??

  2. More Fancy in 2020–this was adorable! We have a border collie mix we rescued 11.5 years ago, Tonks, who loves camping and trail time! We are planning many adventures inspired by your videos with her in the next year. Happy New year from a southern girl in Boston.

  3. So happy you have found the joy and love of a dog. That little guy has a lot of character. I enjoyed watching him experience snow for the first time. How are other hikers responding to him being off-leash? Some people are not fans of dogs off leash.

  4. Awh Fancy is the cutest. Life must never be dull with Fancy around ? thanks so much for sharing your Camino trip such a treat to watch. Happy christmas ???

  5. Central Alabama girl is loving that cool snow! I used to raise Siberian Huskies, and cold weather weather made even the "old men" feel like puppies again!

  6. Awesome! We also have a rescue and we're so amazed at how much she's transformed in the last six months. Our region (NJ) hasn't received any significant snowfall yet but and when it does, we'll be sure to capture the experience. Ironically – her name is Snowy! Thank you for sharing! ? Can't wait to see more of your pup – she is comical!

  7. Is it possible that the harness holding the doggie backpack itches? It looks to me that this energetic pup was trying to rub it off, or, scratch where the straps connect, and it makes for delightful images. It would have been worth finding out by removing it to see what happens.

Mostly, this is just one very happy doggie!

  8. My rescue does those mad dashes back and forth as well, touching base (me) as she passes by. Only she is much bigger and a lot heavier… ? Not very respectful, but at least they seem to enjoy life again! Best of luck and keep up the good work!

  9. Hey Dixie one of you hikers with lots of subscribers needs to report this https://youtu.be/wUh6AHF6Eb4 The bridge for the AT at harpers ferry was destroyed by a train derailment. Get the word out for 2020 thru-hikers. Pass it on or call the AT trail commission at Harpers ferry and find out the re-route. It is going to be a long time before it is fixed I am guessing.

  10. What a gloriously exuberant happy dog. Has she never seen snow before ? I think a lot of us would be the same if we had unrestrictive pure joy. Thank you, I am a new subber and I watched you do the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific rim edge trail, Wow your fitness increased as you went racking up many miles per day. Wonderful ??

  11. Thanks for showing us the Fancy footwork! I was laughing out loud and had to show it to my son so he could share in the fun. When a dog is loving life, everyone around gets to share in the joy.
