Near death airplane collision with skydiver in free fall

Near death airplane collision with skydiver in free fall
Spread The Viralist

After an uneventful exit…. The pilot dove the airplane 180 degrees right at me and my tandem passenger. how we got so lucky?!?! Not sure.

I have never heard of this happening. After some research and talking to friends about it I now know of two other incidents like this. One is on you tube and he did not get as lucky as we did….

  1. Obviously it never occurred to the pilot that a collision was possible. Air space is BIG and separation occurs quickly. Still, since the plane is much faster in a dive than a human being, you would think it would be common practice to fly a safe distance away before diving.

  2. What that dangerous pilot did was VERY wrong, and should be suspended from flying for awhile. Damn. He could of killed those people!! God bless them for surviving, Amen.

  3. Great landing! Still… jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for fun is not my idea of a good time! Takes a special brand of courage if you ask me. Glad this day turned out well for all concerned!

  4. I've worked as a stewardess and balloon pilot's retriever for a couple of years and he told me once that oxygen deprivation makes you just as reckless as if you were drunk! He crossed the Alps on one occasion without an oxygen mask and to take on the world. I don't know how high your cruising altitude was and if there's the possibility of losing cabin pressure (um, is there any to begin with?!) – could he have been deprived of oxygen? But whether he was or was not, I'd most definitely get an explanation from him!!

  7. Why it seem that the pilot want to "catch" you? Why he didn't stay like 30 second at your drop length? It's a genuine question here, somebody?:) Normally I'll call the captain for the explication but not on this one ^^
    Sorry, broke english.
