17. The 'Two witnesses' in Revelation 11: 3 have a role like Moses and Elijah, as seen in Revelation 11: 6. These two men were prophetic types. Moses prefigured Christ, and Elijah prepared the way for Elisha; in the manner that John the Baptist prepared the way for Christ. These 'Two witnesses' prophecy in a role similar to Moses and Elijah. The 3 times 360 day 'years' [Jewish years] plus half a year, is 360 + 360+ 360+ 180 days, or 1,260 days Revelation 11: 3 or, 42 months as seen in the Jewish calendar. Revelation 11: 2. This time period is mentioned in other Scriptures: Daniel 12: 9, Daniel 7:25, Revelation 12; 6, Revelation 12; 14 Revelation 13: 5. These Scriptures form a picture of events that occurred between 1914 and 1918; after the outbreak of WW1, and the arrival of Christ's Rule in heaven in God's Kingdom, as seen in Revelation 12: 10

18. I think one of the witnesses is Jacob who became Israel. Gen. 32:30 says he will name the place Peniel because he says "For I have seen God face to face and my life is preserved" one of the only people in the Bible that actually has seen God face to face the other one is Moses. So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend (Exodus 33:11). It also says of Isaiah. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple (Isaiah 6:1). The thing that has me not so sure about Moses or Isaiah is that it just says "The Lord" which Jesus was also called when mentioned "I saw the Lord of my Lord which is to say Jesus was the Lord of his Lord which would be God. So it's possible that Jesus was whom Isaiah saw. With Moses it's not simple, he hid his face from God when God was in the burning bush, but that said Moses spent 40 days/nights on Mt. Sinai and was in direct contact with God while God was writing the commandments for us with his finger.
