Nah.. No need to spook yourself out. There are a lot of possibilities.. One thing might be the boat is tilted with the back end lower and the front end higher. With the door not shut properly, it open due to gravity pulling it to the back side. No biggie.

You need to be on your toes when fishing in montauk but when you got mojos, just enjoy the weather. Mojos will do the work
