Why the hell post this? I would take her in a heartbeat but I am in British Columbia , Canada. Now I am so upset and can’t stop thinking about it. Could you not have postponed your event? Or adopted him so you could bring him along and then have him adopted by someone who would not let him go? I feel your pain but I am angry.

The shelter said Pearl was scared of men ,which in my mind lowers the possibility of a dog getting adopted cause Pearl got used to Lee as she sensed his genuine gentle loving nature. All she needed was a chance to see that not every man is a cruel hearted person. And it definitely helped that Pearl saw how happy & relaxed all the other dogs were around him.She let go, trusted & was the one who actually gave the chance to be loved.
Not a chance would I have given up my best friend soul mate she was by my side for 16 years and I had to make my hardest decision I’ve ever had to make to put her to rest as she had breast cancer I’m so lost without her to this day 7 years on ? if I was closer to u I would have had the beautiful old lady and waited on her hand and foot ???
Adopt the dog instead of breaking her spirit, AGAIN.
This broke my heart. The guy is being ripped apart for having to give up a dog he truly loves and the dog will be hurting over being rejected a second time. It's not fair. It's just not right.
