  1. Cruse ships are deliberately built top heavy to reduce seasickness. the problem is that makes them more dangerous in rough sea. Cargo ships are built bottom heavy so they can get insurance, Go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd rather kill myself than go on a cruise: mediocre food, pseudo "elegance", fat people from Oklahoma shoveling in food from the buffet, crowds, lines, "activities" OMG The experience is analogous to being locked in a floating Hilton hotel for a week and you can't get off except at tacky, over-run tourist traps ruined by the cruise companies. The only good ones are WILDLY expensive on small boats, but then again, you're still with 200-300 nouveau riche bores. I like active vacations–hiking, sailing, biking, etc. with my REAL friends.

  16. Well it's a pig out fest and or a booze fest. Designed to give you excess and part you from as much $$$$ as possible. Then when something happens the crew can't handle it and at least 1/2 the passengers are incapable of reacting to the situation. But you always get your money's worth cept when something goes wrong. Costco Concodia was avoidable but the captain was on coke and had an erection. So how do you know you've got responsible leadership never mind professional ones? Did my cruises with the USN and they were 6 months long but never was worried about the likes of what happens on a tourist ship full of unseaworthy passengers and or maybe the crew. Nuff said, won't sail with you later.

  18. Cruising is the best, I've been doing it since I was a baby!! There are risks with everything you do in life and clearly cruising is no exception. However when something bad happens involving a cruise ship its always big news….why? Because its RARE. Just like when aviation disasters happen, out of the millions of times everything goes exactly according to plan as soon as something goes wrong that's when the world decides to watch and make quick judgments about it. The odds of you dying in a cruise ship disaster are about the same as your chances of dying in a plane crash and flying is the SAFEST form of modern day transportation so you get the jist, you all need to relax. I bet if most of you actually tried cruising you would really enjoy it!

  22. The little Amphibian near the Houses of Parliament in London was on fire about 20 FEET from shallow water and people were STILL staying with the boat …absolutely insane, I don't have sympathy for people that panic I'm afraid.

  38. A friend of mine showed me slides that he took on a Destroyer during the Vietnam War. Basically this ship was going over a mountain of water then sliding down the backside of the mountain of water, over and over again. Never went on a Cruise and never will.

  40. Never been on a cruise, does one sign a waiver in case of such things happening, or are refunds or alternative future cruises given? And if so, how do these Cruise companies stay in business? LOL Certainly not the Love Boat no?

  42. One night 20 years ago I spent a harrowing night on a a small passenger ship in the Baltic Sea. That was a rough night. The sound of the waves slamming against the ship was deafening in my cabin. I didn’t get any sleep that night.

  43. 25:39 Guy jumps full face into the rescue boat! Then falls in the water! It was only 2ft away. Physical Education class is just as important as Science class. Not the most co-ordinated dude. You can't pay for that kind of entertainment!!
