  1. In Alaska, during the long winter months, ravens like to play roadkill (who can stay on the road the longest without getting hit by a car).

  2. Ravens are scary-smart birds, and they love playing in snow. It isn't just rolling in it. They'll find objects and use them as sleds on rooftops – there's plenty of videos of that, too. Sure, they can fly, but why fly when sliding is so much more fun?

  3. after I saw the birds eating a carcass I think they are trying to get the blood off of their feathers rather than having fun playing in the snow. I think this is more like a dust bath.
