UPDATE: Lana has found a foster home and new training program, according to Rescue Dogs Match. The Dodo will continue to follow her story.

The “saddest dog in the world” needs to find a home — with lots of room to run — by May 20.

If you think you’re able to provide Lana with the forever home she needs, you can contact Rescue Dogs Match: http://thedo.do/lana. You can also help provide for the ongoing vet care of all the dogs they’re currently fostering: http://thedo.do/match.

  1. UPDATE: Lana has found a foster home and new training program, according to Rescue Dogs Match. THANK YOU to everyone in the animal community who brought awareness to Lana's story and most of all thank you to her new parents!

  2. If people think this is helpful there are not there are trap they want out free if you you think this is helpful it not you are just killing them GOD MADED LIVING ANIMALS IT IS CRUEL SEEING THEM THEY MIGHT BE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES AND YOU WANT MONEY YOU ARE JUST KILLING YOURSELF

  3. i would love to have her and keep her we hae big space with a puppy 2 mouth old we have lots of space were just trying to get one sense i lost my other german shepred

  4. God it frustrates me so when people do this, let alone twice. When you get a dog you are making a promise to take care and love them as not just a pet but part of the family. I do know that sometimes things don't work out cuz life can throw you a curve ball an things can fall apart but you owe it to them to find them a new loveing home. They my not speak like us but they do have feelings like us and they know when they have been abandoned.

  5. That poor baby. I think the only way it will be permanent is if she’s adopted by an animal behaviourist or vet or other animal specialist because “normal” people can’t seem to deal
