While out fishing, this guy notices that a pelican was stuck in the mangroves and decides to jump in to save it. After a bit of a struggle and many cuts of fishing wire, the bird swam off unharmed.

Awesome! I've been told that, while holding their beak, you should insert a finger to keep the beak open so they can breathe. This will cause the pelican to remain more calm while handling them.

I want to think I saved a fish… I took it out of the lake, brought it home, fed it for 2 months until it died. It was a tiny fish and most likely died due to loneliness… but it wasn't eaten 🙂

I saved a bird from a torn bush when I was little. Put in a book bag to show my bad, thought it was dead. Then when I opened the bag in the house to show my dad it flys out and craps on the wall and flew out the door. Good times!
