The “ate” in that sentence is used for older sis or just a female you don’t know. It’s just Filipino peeps being respectful ya know.
It’s actually pronounced as “a-te” not “eit” it’s “A-T-E” yes the Filipino language is kinda weird sometimes but I don’t complain.
