Beautiful story, but that has to be so confusing and upsetting for a dog to go back and forth like that. The dog was acclimated to the house and the children. I think she should have left her with the family and just came to visit from time to time.

That was dumb. She didn't seem very excited to see her. Probably would've reacted the same way to anyone. If you want to see a dog freak out over not seeing her master for a few months then type in something along the line of "beagle seeing daddy after 3 months" now that's cool, not this boring reunion.
