This girl is the sweetest! A call came in that a stray dog was being picked on by neighborhood kids. They said they were chasing her and throwing sticks/rocks at her. An adult neighbor led her into his yard and closed the gate to hold her until we got there. She was quite scared but we can tell she is just the sweetest baby. We named her Sister Moonshine. The police should drive thru that neighborhood and question every kid they see about this dog. This abuse must stop. Maybe that will put some fear in to anyone that thinks it's O.K. to hurt any living thing. All that neglect and abuse and she's so friendly. That is one good dog. Kids were picking on her? What is wrong with the world of parenting these days? I was 16 (still a kid myself) when I had my oldest, 8 years later I had my second child and I managed to teach BOTH of them compassion especially for the helpless ones of this world. What a sweet girl, it's so sad to see how much she wants attention but because of those kids and others like them she is afraid to allow the rescuer to get too close. Heartbreaking

Good. So now what I want to know, after this sweet dog is safe, out of harm's way..WHO WAS IT that taught those kids, throwing rocks and sticks…that abusing animals was acceptable?? That's something we need to address, as part of humane education..
Oh she's so sweet! If only I could get her! But in my county (European country), any dog even faintly recognised as a bull mix will be euthanised. Sad and cruel but true.
