Welcome to the FIRST video in our series “Coffee With Mike & Mike! This is where we sit down with Paramotor Industry experts to discuss equipment, tips for Pilots, and directly address some of the concerns we have in this growing sport. Today, BlackHawk owner Mike Robinson & Shop Director Mike Gambrill will be discussing some concerns they have which are preventing some people from enjoying the sport.

We’ve had several potential-customers reach out to us after watching some concerning videos surfaced on YouTube. These specific videos were created by a direct competitor – with the specific intention of disparaging (ALL) other brands besides their own.

The goal of this competitor was to scare customers into purchasing from them and we’re grateful that it”s not working. The customers who call us are caught off guard by being bullied and flat-out lied to like that. Especially after calling five or ten other Dealers who don’t participate in this type of behavior. Most level-headed people just go elsewhere. Using fear as a sales tool is absolutely deplorable and damages the entire professional sport as a whole. This is why we must all speak out when this type of thing happens.

BlackHawk has always enjoyed the reputation we have for not participating in the badmouthing of other brands, however, when an “”Industry professional” representing the sport as a whole decides to make dishonest claims preventing people from flying entirely, we have a duty to the sport to speak up. This type of bully-mentality and behavior simply won”t be tolerated in this sport. We are calling these people out and providing customers with the black-and-white truth in this video. You can hear from the “Pilot in question” and then decide for yourself.

If you have any questions about this life-changing sport and want to experience “the BlackHawk difference,” we”re always here to help you realize your dream of flight. Give us a call today: (833) PPG-FLYR or visit https://blackhawkparamotor.com/

  1. Ok, let me get this right. This kid is flying on a field ran by a competitor that hates BlackHawk with a passion. His "pin" was there two hours before during his pre-flight check? Those DON'T just "wiggle out" walking from your truck bro. I have a BH 125 myself. Have you considered sabotage to the equipment? That would literally be attempted murder if Kurt did that. Just sayin. No one will probably ever know. Scary. I wouldn't fly or train with that dude. No way.

BTW thanks for having the *** to address these issues in the sport lately. It's so nice to see an actual manufacturer who isn't throwing rocks. That's why I went with BH. Thanks for the vid.

  2. the bold dude has LITTLE MAN SYNDROME and when you have this ego you want have many friends and basicly he is a hot head and sounds like a used car sells man from up north maybe new york city

  3. Hey guys
Like the video called Coffee with Mike and Mike. I’m down here in Australia and am sick to death of two youtubers hanging shit on everyone else’s equipment. I have a Black Hawk Quad 2 and have never had on issue with it. Very disturbing that these people highlight deaths in the sport and it’s very bad for the sport. Nothing that you guys haven’t already said. Good to see you two men are mature enough not to get dragged into that shit. Well done men. Keep up the good work men. When your running a business and 50% of your time is spent on ragging out you competition on social media it says to me that you have a few insecurities. Good to see you guys are above that, keep up the good work.

  4. as im day 5 into my course here in aus ?? and were all told not to listen ? to bould head numb nuts !!! captain cock head what ever his name is as he is so badly know throughout the world as cant believe he hasnt his big mouth put in place ?,im know expert but as im just new to the sport and even i cant believe why he’s like that??? even if i dont buy black hawk keep up your product !believe ? !!its not bad product that kill its bad pillots who dont get lessons !!!! look on you tube so many who are proud …… blackhawk ????????good vid

  5. Corporal Kurt, cap’n Crunch, or whatever he likes to call himself is an ass clown, along with Dell Shanze.
I haven’t even begun to train yet, and I can clearly see they have the “Wrong Stuff”
And their words hold no gravity with me.
I would hope most people who are serious about getting into the sport, research, and will discover those two are just shit talkers.

  6. What needs to happen is these two need to be exposed time after time. Emails sent to fresh their brands / manufactures. Cut em off at the knees.

I get no one wants to call anyone out. But sometimes the only way to stop the bs is to come in hard, fast and strong and literally take em off at the knees.

  7. I am really glad you fellas did this video. It sure can't hurt to try to combat the two BS camps, they really should just do their own thing and stop being dicks. cheers

  8. A guy that doesn't know how to untangle lines, kites gliders for his students to launch because he won't take time to teach kiting skills has no room to talk about other manufacturers or trainers.

Hell even if a line was misplaced by a manufacturers which does not happen, anyone with a year of experience can remove a line and put it back right on the risers in less than 30 minutes!

  9. I'm going to be honest, I purchased the Talon 190 and the bolts with wing nut's did not fit through the weightshift arms (both left and right). I had to purchase the bolts and regular nuts at Menard's. I doubled up the nuts to prevent them from coming lose. It's not a big deal but could have been if I didn't catch that only 2 threads was all that it would turn onto. If you would like I can show you a quick video of what I did for further explanation.

  10. Never been able to get through a Captain Kurt you tube video. The guy talks and talks and just loves to hear himself. He and his alpha dog mentality just rub me the wrong way. Curious if he ever actually flies any of his equipment. Like I say, I've never made it through a whole video.

  11. I use a key ring to secure the pin into place that way it can never come undone. As for dell and kirk, they should embrace the competition and update their own equipment to remain relevant in the paramotor market.

  12. i agree insted of his plan working to sell his product to people like me who are wanting to fly he is scaring me enough to not want to fly period no matter how much money i can save or spend on a para motor its scary to see videos of people crashing falling out of the sky getting hurt or killed that just makes me think wow now i really dont want to take a chance on that happening to me no matter how careful or prepared i am to fly its scary all together just my honest opinion no matter the equipment

  13. Basic undeniable fact. Even if everybody has similar failure rates (not that this one was – rather it was sabotage by someone to remain unnamed), the one that sells more will have more failures. Three companies sell 1000, 500 and 100 paramotors respectively. With even a 1% failure rate you are going to have 10, 5 and 1 failures. That doesn't make brand C better, it is the same. The problem is Blackhawk sells more than probably any 2-3 other brands together. They are going to have more failure (again, this was not an equipment failure), but these few insecure people prey on twisting this knowledge to suck in new and unsuspecting prospects. They simply scream louder to get attention and hopefully attract a few from the crowd.

  14. Dell and Kurt are a bunch of loud mouth braggers. You guys have always helped me with whatever questions or problems I had, thanks for the video. Also thanks again for your support and help at Oshkosh this year, it has been going a lot better for me since you helped me.

  15. until you take them to court they will continue, i seriously don't get how you and others do not take these guys to court, the only reason any of us come to is it maybe true, until you prove otherwise people will continue to believe these Narcissistic imbeciles.

  16. I think I bought into DS and KF hype … they we the first two ppg guys after Tucker. I think they brain washed me. I’m so confused about equipment now

  17. I enjoy the flying, but I must say I hate the fact you have to be a mechanic to enjoy the sport. I am getting older and would like the lightest paramotor out there. But, you have to have quick access to parts, and some brands do not. All of these machines have good and bad things about them. Just seems like you have to wade thru a ton of BS to reach what best suits you.

  18. I fly a fresh breeze that’s 10 years old. It’s still flying great,no one works on it but me. Wing gets sent out every 2 years. Your unit is only as good as the pilot.
