  1. 8th grade,1989 SE Texas, paddled on first day of school in Home-economics with 3 other dudes by a short chunckie female teacher…1st day, she was not takin our class clown BS all year…I made edible lasagna, sewed an apron & heard from Philip what the inside of a vagina felt like…got an A

  2. My dad beat me with the cord from the frying pan when me n my buddy got arrested for shop lifting fishing lures at gateway mall in st.pete, FL. Back in the late 60,s .I didn't think he was ever going to stop hitting me !!!!!!!!!!! I never hit my kids with anything but my open hand on there butt.?

  3. Had a similar experience. But I believe in spanking. I deserved every one I got. There is definitely a time and place for love of god. It's balance. I back handed my sister. I got back handed back with extreme prejudice.

  4. Switches and a belt, and my Dads fkn, idk, hands as wide as 2 bricks! In kindergarten, my Principal had a Paddle on a mantel with an engraving above it, “Cats Paw”! WTF? Yep, got whacked by it a couple of times.

  5. Removed the Bible from school.
    Removed paddling for disciplining
    Inserted mass shootings
God and discipline gone anarchy and hate show up.
    Could there be a correlation???????????

  6. I got locked in a box during high school. Smaller than a shower, solid wood, padlocked. I wish I would've fought that teacher. Let the cops arrive to find an injured minor, and possibly teacher, too.

  7. I think the important thing as a parent is paying attention to what your child needs. Not all kids respond to every punishment the same. And not every situation calls for the same reaction. There are times when a stern talking to is good enough. There are times when timeout and self reflection is necessary. And then there are those times when a physical message needs to be sent. There's also a huge difference between a single pop on the butt and "a beating" as Everlast calls it. It's not as cut and dry as never spanking your kids…just the same as it's not as cut and dry as always spanking them. Parenting isn't that simple.

  8. Oh, boy here come the stories from the baby boomers. “This use to happen to me” “I use to get whooped by my parents with a belt” that’s just sad and fucked up.

  9. I got a strap on my hands in Canada for whatever in grade 5 & 7 & 8. In grade 7 my GF was getting it too so if your hands had cuts or any marks you couldn't get the strap. So Laura burnt her hands with a cigarette. I laughed so hard cause she still got the strap anyways. I got it & laughed going out of office b/c the principal was sweating & breathing heavy for hitting my hands 7 times on each hand. I'd never let a prick like that see me hurt. Run my hands under fountain & I was done. F**K him.

  10. Honestly if anybody deserved an asskicking it was the parents leaving firearms around available for a kid. Fucked up to load that responsibility on the kid and beat him, if it should be yourself who you should take into responsibility.

  11. Paddling? That's nothing. I went to a much tougher school than that. I mean shit, our school newspaper had an obituary column. I remember in 1st grade, a teacher asked me, "what comes after a sentence?" I said, "You make an appeal!" -The late Great Rodney Dangerfield

  12. And look how we cuddle and protect our children now. No repercussions, no consequences, no self accountability….. and yet so entitled, they think the world owes them. Somewhere along the way we strayed.

  13. I got my ass whoppin' when growing up. I think I turned out pretty fine. Most of my friends got the same from their parents growing up. Most of them are upstanding and well adjusted people. Physical discipline is a necessity and like Everlast said, it's got it's time and place.

  14. I used to have to cut my own switches lol and I better not come back with a little one or I got it worst…need more of that today dont spare thy rod !!!!! Discipline is needed right from wrong is almost gone now days
