A York-Poquoson sheriff’s department reported one of their deputies pulled a man from the edge of an overpass near Brewery Road Lake, south of Williamsburg, Virginia, on August 14.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said that the Deputy, James Robinson, saved the man from “possibly jumping” by distracting and then grabbing him.

After taking the man, who was sobbing, the deputy can be heard telling him: “You’ve got a lot left left. You’ve got a lot in you.”

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said that medics had arrived on scene, treated the man and took him to a local hospital.

  1. That is sad. He was about to harm himself by jumping off a bridge ?. I sometimes think about harming myself. I can relate to him. Hopefully this teaches people not to disrespect other people for who they are. Because they don’t know what other people are going through (death, suicidal feelings, cancer, bullying, being homeless, etc.)
