A York-Poquoson sheriff’s department reported one of their deputies pulled a man from the edge of an overpass near Brewery Road Lake, south of Williamsburg, Virginia, on August 14.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said that the Deputy, James Robinson, saved the man from “possibly jumping” by distracting and then grabbing him.
After taking the man, who was sobbing, the deputy can be heard telling him: “You’ve got a lot left left. You’ve got a lot in you.”
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said that medics had arrived on scene, treated the man and took him to a local hospital.

The whole time I heard nothing from the guy, maybe he was deaf and maybe he died after the cop took him down
when he pulled him to the ground and i heard him cry i broke up ??
Fake
He wants to jump because of school. This school system should be eliminated.
btw he sounds like Sammuel L Jackson.
Who ever is reading this have a great day.
that was a smart move from that cop
If a man wants to jump off a bridge thats NOBODYS business!!
Why are you publishing this
Police deserve more respect
Been there before, not worth it, life's great!
Dang most cops don’t get recognized for saving lives but this one did
that cops a great man ??
That is sad. He was about to harm himself by jumping off a bridge ?. I sometimes think about harming myself. I can relate to him. Hopefully this teaches people not to disrespect other people for who they are. Because they don’t know what other people are going through (death, suicidal feelings, cancer, bullying, being homeless, etc.)
You should have pushed him
I still have faith in humanity
Normal cops would hold him at gunpoint and yell at him
That is so freaking sad. I wonder what the man has been through to make him want to take his own life away. God bless the officer.
What a compassionate cop. Such a kind voice
Lol all he just had to say was wassup
Why would someone dislike this?
